Happy St. Patrick’s Day! In light of the holiday I thought I’d share with you all my absolute favorite go to green smoothie. I’m big on veggies so it’s no surprise that I would enjoy them liquefied, but I know for a lot of people the thought of drinking a vegetable is pretty disgusting. Trust me when I say this blend doesn’t taste icky and it’s a great alternative for someone who doesn’t really enjoy beer at all, let alone green beer.
I use this blend to feel energized and uplifted; it’s a fresh drink to start my day with.
1 cup of Spinach, or a handful.
1 cup of frozen pineapple, or fresh. You can use canned but avoid any that say “with syrup”
1 small banana
Some ice, I usually use a cup but you can use less or more.
About a cup to a cup and half of water or more.
a teaspoon of flax-seed. This isn’t necessary but I like a bit of flax in my morning shakes.
Throw it all in, blend till smooth, and enjoy!
