I’ve been a little busier than usual trying to keep up with these two different challenges, but I’ve noticed so much progress in a relatively short amount of time. If you follow me on IG you can see my pure joy in one of my most recent video posts, (I did a handstand y’all!!!!).
I guess I should go on record to say I’m pretty new to yoga. In my lifetime as an active adult, I’ve taken maybe 5 classes, and I really in all honesty, didn’t start taking my practice more seriously till this January. When I danced in college (over 5 years ago) our instructor had us incorporate a lot of Pilates and yoga work into our routines so I developed a strong interest for the two, but never really dove as deeply into them as I have been now. Sure I practiced here and there , but now I seriously can’t get enough!! Yoga and Pilates have become a daily routine and I hope it stays that way. Today I have two videos to share with you all.
Days 8 & 9 were forward fold and crow. My crow still kinda sucks, but it’s a huge improvement for the non-crowing ability I possessed earlier this year. I could barely maintain the positioning let alone lifting. Forward fold is always so relaxing. I don’t know what it is about hanging upside down that just works for me.
Day 10 was king pigeon pose. I love this pose because it helps me strengthen my entire back. The lift through the shoulders and deep stretch is a great way to work on posture and open up the hips.
