I’m not sure what came over me this Sunday, but it happened. I couldn’t stop it, it just happened; my Spring cleaning. I know, gross, but it was bound to happen, I guess I’m just glad I beat Spring to the punch. It’s done, praise The Lord.
Now, while I was feverishly scrubbing, sweeping, wiping, spraying, I had this idea about cleaning out my fridge. I usually try to avoid the whole fridge/pantry scene, because to be honest, it frightens me. All that stuff. But, I’ve been frustrated with my diet, and Ive been wanting to welcome into my life a way of eating that resonates with, being clean.
It seems like such a “duh” idea, you are what you eat, but so often it can be easier than we think to fall off that healthy eating wagon and munch on not-so-good-for-you food. Especially when you like sweets, and I LOVE sweets. I try hard to not stray off a path of eating well, and I think I do O-K, but this year is all about getting better, and so I tackled the pantry AND the fridge. Out with refined, preserved crap, and tons of other stuff I just want to stay away from, and in with freshness!
I’m ready to take on a new challenge, to eat as clean and raw as I can, and embrace a diet provided by nature. I know it won’t be easy, but nothing worth it usually is. So here we go!
Since today is another crap weather day, (really South Texas 28 degrees?!), I figured it was nothing tropical fruit and yogurt couldn’t fix. Tropical fruit parfait layered with pineapple, kiwi, blueberries, GF granola, Greek Yogurt, and honey will have ya thinking warm thoughts.
